I have just accepted a new job in sales. Over the next two weeks I will be going door to door in a variety of rural towns trying to sell cable television, not the most glamorous profession, but I have to do something to keep the wolves from the door!
I will do my best to continue participate in the constitution discussion through internet cafes and on my mobile phone. I may be slow in responding to email, I probably wont be on MSN, and my posts on the forum will probably be brief.
Wish me luck, if I cut it in this new job, the Republic of Lavalon will benefit!
regards,
Jason Mckerra Consul.

Good luck!
Just remember, Cable Television is the most exciting, important, amazing product ever conceived.

I spent my life hating the concept (pay for television, are you mad?!). I can give a passable spiel on why it's a good idea (oh, you've got children, wouldn't it be better if they watched quality documentaries instead of that drivel on free to air), but when it comes to "so which channel do I need to get documentaries", well, I have no flipping idea, I never touch the stuff!!!
Long nights studying the TV guide me thinks.

Tomorrow I start my first "road trip" selling cable. I wonder what will collapse first, my mind or my body! I can really feel those streets!

Free? There's nothing free about it.

Well, I must confess, after three horrible days on the streets trying to convince people to buy a cable TV subscription, I've packed it in and gone back to job hunting.
It's certainly been an "experience", one I hope I never have to repeat!

The only good thing about being an "independent contractor".
