Fellow Citizens,

The only symbol in use by the Republic of Lavalon is the flag you have often seen displayed about this website.

We have recently discussed having coins made, and I have considered having a rubber stamp made for official documents. However both of these things will require some sort of design.

Are there any designers amongst us who have ideas for a seal, coat of arms or stamp that could be used to represent the Republic on stamps, coins and alike?

I am open to all suggestions!

Is it possible that the companies in question can help with this?

For a large amount of money, sure, a printing company would be happy to do  the design work :-)

Here are some micronational seals. Personally I prefer Rainbow Creek's, simple, straightforward and reasonable easy to discern the meaning.

You know, High Schools here... when you graduate and get your diploma, they usually have a seal if not a coat of arms on the front... companies that do that sort of thing for them may be pretty cheap.

Problem is I just don't have that sort of experience, Vasroe I think does but doesn't have the resources at the moment.

What message do you want the image to transmit?

Strength?
Justice?
Trade?
Chicken nuggets?

That might be a good place to start

Life? Liberty? A slight touch of the eccentric?

The flag is white, yellow green and blue. I have previously proposed that it might represent:

Yellow: Sunlight
Blue: Water
White: Oxygen
Green: Photosynthesis

In the past Lavalon had something of a tongue in cheek motto, "Seceding from Reality".

I like the River Redgum, the ancient gnarled trees of the Australian riverbank.

They're a vital keystone species, in danger of extinction from a decades drought.

Let me tell you, the Natopian crowd in Lavalon hated the heck out of some Eucalyptus trees.

I think they're some of the most wonderful trees in the world, hence their recurrence in Lavalonian symbols :-P

Basically they hated them because Xon kept pushing them, so he was at least more respectful to the culture if nothing else than they were.  They were doing everything to be anti-Xon rather than anti-Lavalonian history though.

And it suits me fine, on this argument I kind of leaned Xon's way just because I like to stick to heritage.
